Gumball Pendant from Folksy seller ButterflyPie

When I was younger, I had one of those little plastic gumball machines filled up with (frankly, quite disgusting) bubblegum balls. Whilst I might not have enjoyed the taste of the gum, I loved the bright colours adding a bit of fun to my cluttered desk. Hence why this funky pendant is getting a feature today.

Retro candy, without the e-numbers. Hurrah!

Crochet Lace Headband with Butterfly from Folksy seller jessicabdesigns

A little bit of crochet inspired fashion today with this pretty little headband from Folksy seller jessicabdesigns. The Manchester-based designer has a beautiful selection of handmade headbands, and this cotton butterfly and crochet hairband is one of my favourites. The range definitely has a 60s inspired theme, so you can pop one on in the summer for a hippy vibe.

Black Flowered Lacy Necklace by MyMom at Etsy

I like the idea of challenging the usual ideas of acceptable materials for jewellery. I've seen some lovely acrylic pieces recently, and shrink plastic is a fun look too (check out FunkyJunkJewellery's recent collection for a good example of this)

This lace necklace ($26) from Etsy designer MyMom is definitely not the most obvious material , but it has a luxurious feel, and would look lovely over the collar of a white t-shirt or as it's worn above with a strapless top.

Would you wear a piece of lace jewellery? How would you wear it?

Customizable Easter Nest Pendant by themantrap on Etsy

With Easter less than a couple of weeks away, I couldn't resist featuring a little nugget of festive goodness. This customizable Easter Nest Pendant is made of silver plate wire, delicately winded into a miniature nest shape. Nestled in the middle are a few freshwater pearls in pastel shades. You can request different colour pearls if you have a specific giftee in mind.

It comes on a chain, but I think it would lookcute as a brooch on the lapel of a spring jacket. How would you wear it?

The necklace is by themantrap on Etsy, and costs $9.50

Peacock feather bow hairband by Cherry & Joy

This headband from Cherry & Joy combines my two favourite accessory trends this season: bows and feathers. I've seen a few feather headbands recently, but this one's stolen my heart with the cute gathering in the middle and the glossy peacock colours. A must-have for any Gossip Girl fans who want to steal a little of Blair's style. You can even adjust the bow's position.

You can follow Cherry & Joy on Twitter too @Cherryandjoy

Hello Kitty White Leather Strap Watch with Crystal Bezel

The last couple of products features on Bling and Buy have been gorgeous but a little on the pricey side. So it's something of a relief to feature something that won't have you dwelling in your overdraft for the next week.

This Hello Kitty White Leather Strap Watch is only £35, and has the cute factor with its iconic mouse and bling rim. This kitsch watch has recently been added to ASOS, along with two other Hello Kitty styles.

What do you think?

Morning tea ring set by Victorial Mason

Have you seen the Alice in Wonderland movie yet? I really really want to see it, but fate seems to be against me at the moment. In the meantime, I'm completely happy to drool over this AIW themed Morning Tea ring (£110) over on OyeModern.

Handmade by Victoria Mason, the set consists of three rings featuring a teeny little mug, Nice biscuit and spoon. You can stack them all up at once, or wear them separately.

In fact, it's worth browsing the whole site if you like intricate detail. The Turntable ring (£220) is well worth a look too.

Ooh la la! Les Nereides Paris Fairground Necklace

Lauren from SparkleCandy got in touch with me recently to let me know they've had a few new additions to the site with a romantic Parisian theme to them.

I was on the site in seconds.

This Les Nereides Paris Fairground Necklace (£98) above is just one of the incredibly intricate pieces in the range.

These Les Nereides Paris Eiffel Tower Earrings (£118) on the right have just the right amount of whimsical charm in the tiny Parisian scene.

What do you think of the range? Do they give you the urge to run away to Paris and find a beautiful French man?

Basse Mode: A new fashion magazine

See the Basse Mode button on the right? It's part of a new project I'm working on with a couple of other bloggers, Lauren and Fi.

Lauren and Fi were chatting about the idea of a magazine full of real women on Twitter, and I butted in with a lot of enthusiasm for the idea. Lauren has written this lovely piece on the website summing up what the magazine is all about:

Basse Mode is, or will be, a real life hard copy magazine. One that you can buy in bookshops, or newsagents, one with beautiful images and thick paper.

Basse Mode is a magazine about what real women wear, feel and believe.

Basse Mode is a magazine built for normal everyday women. We know that the feeling of flicking through a glossy magazine can’t be beaten. However, all the magazines feature the same thing – unwearable looks, unaffordable clothes, and an emphasis on being and looking the same as one another. We want to condense all the brilliance that the fashion blogging world has to offer into something that we can put on the coffee table. That we can show off on the coffee table. A beautiful documentation of what real women wear, what real people think, and things that actually affect our lives. Nothing like this has ever been done before, but we think it could be brilliant.

So far, we've had lots of fantastic interest from a lovely group of people looking to get involved, and a lot of them have written blog posts and tweeted about the project. Which is where we need your help! The more publicity we get about this project, the more likely it is that we can get some backing and get going with project Basse Mode. We want this to be a magazine filled with high street fashion, Etsy & Folksy jewellery picks, craft tutorials and plenty of blogger input.

Think it's a great idea? Please feel free to blog about it then and let us know, or tweet about it (we're on there too @bassemode) Want to get involved? Comment on here or on the site and we'll add you to the list!

Floral flurry: Flower cuff from Nuada Accessories

There's a fair few must-have pieces on Folksy from Nuada Accessories. The Sterling Silver Large Button necklaces and silver teapot ring have both made it onto my favourites list. But in the spirit of the spring sunshine we've been enjoying this week, I wanted to show you this pink and purple felt flower cuff bracelet.

The cuff would make a girly addition to a wedding outfit, or a kitch twist to a not-quite-spring outfit. Love it too? You can buy it for £9.50.

Sixties Girls necklace from Miss Dollipops

I noticed the lovely Miss Dollipops has been adding to her range this week, with some retro style brights. With the spring sunshine peaking through the clouds, I'm really in the mood for some pastel colours, so this Sixties Girls necklace above is perfect. The wooden necklace sits on a long chain, and comes in at £5.99. If you're a bit of a button hoarder like me, you might also want to check out the Button Brights rings in an assortment of candy colours.

As an added bonus, every order comes with a free pair of earrings!
