Gold clock and brass gingerbread man charm necklace from Mozzypop Jewels

Gold isn't usually a material I'm drawn towards, unless it's white gold, but this necklace is too charming to pass up. The heart shaped watch is a gentle nod towards the Alice in Wonderland trend, whilst the happy gingerbread man adds a kitsch touch.

Wear it over a white floaty summer dress and gladiator heel for the day, or over a strapless dress and strappy sandals in the evening.

It's by Folksy designer Mozzypop Jewels, and you can buy it for £9.99.

Navy Burleigh Silver Face Liberty Knot Watch

Sometimes, a standard watch just doesn't cut the fashion mustard. So whilst surfing the Liberty website (my new favourite store) I came across this knot watch and had to share it with the Bling and Buy readers.

The watch can be tied in an assortment of ways, so you can experiment with huge bows, chic little knots or floaty ends.

Sure, it might be a little difficult to tell the time, but one has to suffer for fashion, right?

It's £55 and there are several different patterns available. Click on the image to head to the site.

Liquorice Allsorts Filigree Copper Heart Locked Pendant

There's a strong chance this week's Bling and Buy will have an ongoing theme of sweeties and chocolate. Which has nothing to do with the sugar-free diet I'm currently embarking on...

This gorgeous pendant above combines a vintage style (which seems to be the 'buzz word' of the 21st century) with a quirky Liquorice Allsorts detail across the front of the heart charm.

Wear over a floaty summer dress and gladiator sandals for a bit of summer lovin'

It's from VintageKitschMagpie for $14 on Etsy.

Miniature food donut rings by YourSweetTreat

You know what's better than a bit of bling-based eyecandy? A bit of candy-inspired bling.

These doughnut rings from YourSweetTreat are miniature life-like versions of Homer Simpson's favourite. They come as a set of two, so you can either wear both, or treat a much-loved friend to the second.

I'd totally be greedy and keep both though.

Who would you give your second doughnut ring to?

Werewolf-inspired bling from Kikiburrabeads

2010 has definitely been the year of the supernatural, with films, TV shows and books all delving into the mysterious world of vampires and werewolves. Whilst vampires tend to be winning the popularity stakes, werewolves deserve some recognition too.

A new book, Claire de Lune, focusing on werewolves is due to hit bookstores today, and this time all the werewolves are ladies. Why should the boys have all the fun, eh?

So, you're probably wondering what all of this has to do with jewellery.

The star of the book receives a pair of blue sapphire earrings on her 16th birthday, the same day she becomes a werewolf lady. These gorgeous heart shaped sapphire earrings above are exactly as I'd imagine the earrings to look like in real life. Plus they're only $12.50 from Etsy designer Kikiburrabeads.

Are you a supernatural fan?

Sale Watch: Dorothy Perkins

Last time we wrote about Dorothy Perkins (in this post on their butterfly hoop earrings), we had a lots of lovely feedback on the classic high street fashion store. I think this may be becuase often, they tap into the latest trends with pieces that are far more wearable then the offerings of its sister store, Topshop.

The good news is, their current sale is packed full of similar goodies, discounted to at least 50% off.

For example, these Multiband rings are a pocket-money alternative to the stackable rings we featured yesterday from Ernest Jones. You can buy them now for £2, down from £7.

These colourful earrings are another £2 bargain, and would look beautiful this summer with wavy beach hair.

Finally, this silver heart necklace has enough sparkle to satisfy the bling fans. This one is only £2 too, down from £6.

What do you think? Are you a Dorothy Perkins fan?

Daisy Enamel Pink Butterfly sterling silver ring

Ernest Jones has often been the first port of call for any high street girl looking for an expensive treat (or a bit of hint dropping with the other half). This silver ring adorned with a delicate pink butterfly is part of a range of spring-inspired pieces including daisy and miniature frog styles.

What I particularly love about this style is that it's designed to stack upon the other pieces in the range. At £45 for this ring, and prices starting at £22 for the plainer styles, it's a style that you can mix and match on a budget.

ASOS Birds On Branch Ring

I promise I'm not sponsored by ASOS.

As lovely as that would be, I'm simply a mahoosive fan of their extensive range of jewellery and accessories. Particularly as the online store has clearly thought about their customers and created products for all budgets (e.g. for those of us who are flat broke by the third week of the month)

Anyway, back to today's featured product. Remember that scene in Snow White where a chirpy little bird lands on the hand of the princess? That's what this dinky little ring, featuring three birds reminds me of. It slightly overlaps onto your other fingers, which I guess is the aim of this slightly wild looking piece.

Want to hear the really good news? It's only a fiver! Click on the image to grab one for yourself.

London loves retro pin from Fluffs Stuff

I don't often get a chance to make it into London, which means I still retain an appreciation for the charm of all of the capital's tourists spots, famous icons and...shops. Obviously. So, I often find myself drawn to objects that pay tribute to our great city.

I've seen Fluffs Stuff featured quite a bit on Folksy recently, and I love their fabric 3D take on a brooch. This London-based pin would look amazing on a blue or red pea coat, or simply pinned to a plain handbag.

Purchase the pin for £10 from the Fluffs Stuff Folksy shop.

Win a designer handbag from Kitsch Kaos!

We're kick starting another working week with a fantastic treat for our Bling and Buy readers....a designer handbag from Kitsch Kaos!

The Positively Charming bag above stays true to its name, adorned with various vintage charms including cartoon bows, crystal beads and chunky buttons. Available exclusively from accessories and jewellery store Kitsch Kaos, this arm candy with attitude is definitely not the kind of bag you'll see mass-produced on the high street.

The bag is worth £60, and Kitsch Kaos have kindly offered us one for a lucky winner (along with some printed goodies).

Fancy getting your hands on one?

There are four methods of entry:

1) Comment on this post telling us what your favourite item from the Kitsch Kaos site is, and why.

Sale Watch: ASOS

ASOS, you and I have had a long and successful relationship. I have fond memories of the first day I stumbled upon your site as a cheapo student, when you were simply As Seen On Screen. Your cheap prices and fast turnover of stock drew me in like a moth to a (glittery) flame. Now look at you! Designer outfits, killer heels and some really gorgeous jewellery pieces, both own brand and brand name.

ASOS's sale is well worth a look at the moment, with many on-trend pieces making a premature jump into the reduced section. Here are a few of my favourites.

ASOS Enamelled Bow Necklace With Pearl, £6.40 (reduced from £8)

ASOS Vintage Style Metal Bonnet Ring, £4 (reduced from £8)

ASOS Birds Nest Drop Earrings With Mother Of Pearl Birds, £5 (reduced from £8)

Floral Pearl Cuff from Coast

You know those mornings you just feel a bit....blah? When the lure of the sleep button is just a little too much?

What you need is something you're really, really looking forward to wearing for the day. This bracelet has 'jump out of bed' written all over it. The tough cuff with the seriously girlie detail is subtle enough in colour to go with any outfit, but detailed enough to have colleagues and friends begging to know where you found this beauty.

Pop along to Coast and grab it for £30.

Folksy Find: Love Pearl Necklace from Zara Taylor

Well, hello there pretty necklace! This vintage looking piece is from Folksy designer Zara Taylor, who has clearly been busy judging by the number of beautifully made pieces in her store.

This particular necklace is made from an antique love charm and a vintage white pearl chain. Its simplicity is its biggest advantage, lending it to most outfits (unless you plan on rocking a shellsuit. I'd probably advise against it). Simply pair it with a little black dress for a pinch of Audrey Hepburn glamour.

The necklace is £12.99, which is a bargain considering the vintage elements. Check out the rest of the range for teacup inspired pendants, bird inspired earrings, Parisian rings and butterfly earrings.

p.s Don't forget we've still got our 30% discount offer for Delightful Muddle!

Our 100th post! Dorothy Perkins Butterfly flower hoop earrings and blog updates

Dorothy Perkins is fast becoming one of my favourite shopping destinations when it comes to high street jewellery. Which is why I'm happy to dedicate my 100th post to the tropical looking butterfly earrings above.

The butterflies were the first detail to catch my eye, but it's the beautiful mixture of colours and the attention to detail paid to the flowers that really drew me in. Earrings like these are crying out for beach hair and maxi dresses. And possibly a holiday to a sunny location. Is it wrong to base a holiday purchase on a pair of earrings?

If you like them, you can grab them for £15 online or in store.

Eagle eyed visitors to the blog might also have noticed a few changes to the layout. I've added a subscription button and an e-mail subscription button so you can keep up with what's going on with Bling and Buy. If you scroll a little further down you'll find a blog button with html code, so if you'd like to add a bit of Bling to your own blog, you can :)

Don't forget, if you're a jewellery designer you can add your details to the discussion tab of our Facebook page. It's a community website, so feel free to discuss anything you want on the page.

Finally, your suggestions are always welcome. Something you want to see on the blog? Know a good designer? Fancy doing a guest blog post? Let me know!
