I squealed a little when I saw this "I love you this much" tape measure necklace from Love, Hearts and Crosses. I then e-mailed it to my friend, who e-mailed back an e-squeal.
This is a very good sign.
This tape measure necklace is kitsch and yet a little bit romantic. And yes, I'm going to be predictable and suggest your other half might want to treat you to this cute charm for V-Day. It's only £12 (available in silver and gold) so they'll have enough change for a giant bunch of roses too.
Cliché? Me?

The Oriental Magpie: Vintage style wooden butterfly brooch
My weakness for anything butterfly related is evident in my clothing choices, decor selections and, of course, in my jewellery box. I've got necklaces, rings and bracelets adorned with this fluttery little creature, but one thing that's missing is a beautiful brooch to casually pin to an outfit.
These vintage style wooden butterfly brooches (£6 each from The Oriental Magpie) are a perfect mixture of classic style and eye-catching colour.
They're small enough to pin to a headband or hairslide for a boho look too. Now all I need is a little bit of sunshine to showcase these babies!

The return of 'shag bands'
So, apparently 'shagbands' are back in fashion, although this time they're back with the more politically correct name of 'Gummy bracelets'
I remember these the last time they were in fashion, 10 years ago or so. We also used to wear them twisted together, or you'd try and jam as many up your arm as possible, so the boys couldn't snap them.
So what do you think of this retro fashion piece making a comeback? Will you be rushing out to buy these bright and colourful bands, or leaving them back in the 90s?

Make your own: Everything Kawaii silicone moulds
Ah Folksy, you really do spoil me with things I didn't even realised I wanted until you highlighted them.
Take the silicone mould above. I never before realised how much I wanted to make my very own kawaii creatures for jewellery and decorations, but then I spotted this and felt the urge to whip out my debit card.
The mould is handmade by Everything Kawaii, who has tons of moulds, and plenty of pieces created using the moulds. It's only £2.99 too, which is an absolute bargain!

SparkleCandy: Me and Zena I Like Sweeties Locket
You know what most girls want for Valentines Day? Chocolates and jewellery. Preferably presented to us by a gorgeous man in a suit.
This I like Sweeties Locket is the perfect amalgamation of both of these treats, and it comes in at a much more budget friendly £20. It's from the jewellery website SparkleCandy, which is packed full of sparkly and kitsch goodies.
Let's be honest, a pretty piece of neck candy is much healthier for the diet too :)

New website and collection: Mockinghorse
It's been a long time since I updated Bling and Buy, but I had to let you all know about the opening of a new website for the jewellery collection from Mockinghorse.
The collection has been created by the ultra-talented Claire Nelson, and includes a variety of original acrylic accessories. The 'From London With Love' skyline style necklace on the right is one of my favourites, and is a total bargain at £15.
You can check out the website here, and follow Mockinghorse on twitter here.
