Sterling Silver Fox and Forest Studs by Joannarutter (and Etsy lists in £s!)

It's finally happened! Handmade supermarket Etsy.com has finally started to list its products in pounds as well as dollars. This can only mean bad things for my bank account, but imagine the time you'll save without constantly checking the exchange rates.

Browsing this morning, I came across these tiny fox and forest stud earrings from Joannerutter. These charming little cutouts remind me of the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood. Who doesn't love a silver fox, eh?

According to the new listing, it'll set you back £32.30.

Have you seen any gems on Etsy recently?

ASOS Twisted Twilight Mix And Match Stud Set

Who's off to see Twilight this weekend? I've got tickets for one of the early screenings, and I don't mind admitting that I'm really, really, really excited.

What better way of celebrating the release of the latest Twilight film then with some vampire-inspired earrings. These mixed studs from ASOS (£8) have a gothic theme, so you've got the spider webs, crosses and skulls of sterotypical vampires, along with a gorgeous chandelier stud. If anyone from ASOS is reading this, please make the chandelier studs in a pair!

What do you think about the Twilight films? Like the gothic style?

Les Néréides jewellery at Vente-Privee

This morning the Les Néréides jewellery sale hits online private members store Vente-Privee, and prices have been reduced by a massive 70%. What more excuse does a girl need for a browse of the sophisticated Parisian range?

These two hair grips above are now only £6, reduced from an RRP of £33. The bow in particularly is beautiful, particularly if you slide it into a messy up do for the summer.

This lightweight necklace is reduced to £29 (RRP £90)

These bow stud earrings are part of a collection of bow related pieces, and they're only £15 (RRP £45)

Fancy being a member of the (free) Vente-Privee club? Leave a comment below and I'll send over an invite. This sale ends on Saturday (26th June) so get in there quick!

Juicy Couture jewellery you'll actually like

Hard to believe, right? The highly mocked WAG label Juicy Couture has really surprised me with some stunning necklaces, pretty charms and gorgeous clothing at ASOS this season.

Gone are the velour tracksuits and tacky handbags. Instead you'll find pieces like the floral cluster pendant above (£76)

They've even got some intricate little charms like this kitsch watering can (£49)

And some very bling earrings, like this 'Kiss and Hug' pair (£51)

What do YOU think about the new range?

EB by Erickson Beamon Gold coloured butterfly earrings from Debenhams

On Saturday, I treated myself to a little bit of retail therapy after a fairly hectic week. And possibly because I ignored my own advice and left buying a Father's Day present until the very last minute. Again.

Anyway, whilst browsing in Debenhams, I came across these butterfly hoops above. They're currently reduced to £4.80 in the sale, from £6, and they'll look really pretty paired with a simple summer dress and messy bed hair.

Contemporary Jewellery from Lovedazzle

Supporting British designers is something I'm really passionate about on Bling and Buy, so I was intrigued when I heard of a new website that hand picks the best "handmade, collectable, investable, wearable art," and brings them all together on one retail site: Lovedazzle.

Below are a few of the pieces they're currently showcasing:

Orange vetch bangle by Sue Gregor, £35
Tiny butterfly studs by Hannah Louise Lamb, £29
Heart of gold locket by Nick Hubbard

For me though, it's all about the brooches. The designs of Timothy Information Limited are particularly quirky.

Unknown 27 by Timothy Information Limited, £106
Copper Oak Brooch by Becky Crow, £112
Mobile brooch A123 by Lindsey Mann (which comes with it's very own display trolley!) £445

The people behind Lovedazzle, Tony Gordon and Christine Bola, are experts at showcasing new pieces after a long history of hosting jewellery exhibitions, so I'll be definitely be keeping an eye on the site in the future.

In the meantime, why not have a browse of the site and let me know YOUR favourites?

Werewolf-inspired bling from Kikiburrabeads

2010 has definitely been the year of the supernatural, with films, TV shows and books all delving into the mysterious world of vampires and werewolves. Whilst vampires tend to be winning the popularity stakes, werewolves deserve some recognition too.

A new book, Claire de Lune, focusing on werewolves is due to hit bookstores today, and this time all the werewolves are ladies. Why should the boys have all the fun, eh?

So, you're probably wondering what all of this has to do with jewellery.

The star of the book receives a pair of blue sapphire earrings on her 16th birthday, the same day she becomes a werewolf lady. These gorgeous heart shaped sapphire earrings above are exactly as I'd imagine the earrings to look like in real life. Plus they're only $12.50 from Etsy designer Kikiburrabeads.

Are you a supernatural fan?

Our 100th post! Dorothy Perkins Butterfly flower hoop earrings and blog updates

Dorothy Perkins is fast becoming one of my favourite shopping destinations when it comes to high street jewellery. Which is why I'm happy to dedicate my 100th post to the tropical looking butterfly earrings above.

The butterflies were the first detail to catch my eye, but it's the beautiful mixture of colours and the attention to detail paid to the flowers that really drew me in. Earrings like these are crying out for beach hair and maxi dresses. And possibly a holiday to a sunny location. Is it wrong to base a holiday purchase on a pair of earrings?

If you like them, you can grab them for £15 online or in store.

Eagle eyed visitors to the blog might also have noticed a few changes to the layout. I've added a subscription button and an e-mail subscription button so you can keep up with what's going on with Bling and Buy. If you scroll a little further down you'll find a blog button with html code, so if you'd like to add a bit of Bling to your own blog, you can :)

Don't forget, if you're a jewellery designer you can add your details to the discussion tab of our Facebook page. It's a community website, so feel free to discuss anything you want on the page.

Finally, your suggestions are always welcome. Something you want to see on the blog? Know a good designer? Fancy doing a guest blog post? Let me know!

White Daisy Daisy, Give Me Your Answer Do! Stud Earrings

Twitter friends have a lovely habit of breaking up your workday with beautiful little products that you're dying to purchase. Late last week, one of my fellow tweeters (I think it was @Retrochick_uk?) mentioned the work of Abilu Creations. The website showcased a selection of handmade jewellery and accessories, many of which are made with vintage charms for a really unique feel.

The daisy earrings above have the whole sixties flower power look down to a tee, and they're a lighter alternative to the chunky earrings you've been sporting all winter.

Grab them for just £8.

Don't forget you can follow Bling and Buy on Twitter and Facebook for regular updates and the occasional competition!

Ooh la la! Les Nereides Paris Fairground Necklace

Lauren from SparkleCandy got in touch with me recently to let me know they've had a few new additions to the site with a romantic Parisian theme to them.

I was on the site in seconds.

This Les Nereides Paris Fairground Necklace (£98) above is just one of the incredibly intricate pieces in the range.

These Les Nereides Paris Eiffel Tower Earrings (£118) on the right have just the right amount of whimsical charm in the tiny Parisian scene.

What do you think of the range? Do they give you the urge to run away to Paris and find a beautiful French man?

Hello Sunshine "Tea Time Stud Earrings"

These 'Cheeky Lil' Studs' from Folksy designer Hello Sunshine have arrived in perfect time for the release of Alice in Wonderland (surely the must-see film of 2010?).

The tiny little teacup and teapot are made from laser cut acrylic, and the classic white colouring makes this a versatile piece of jewellery. They're £4.50, and they're available in a hanging earring style too.

Bird-like silver hoop earrings from BooHoo

I almost clicked past these earrings completely on BooHoo.com, assuming they were the usual slightly tacky hoops. A closer look revealed a beautiful hummingbird design (though the description insists it's a swallow) and delicate floral detail.

They're only £6, which is a bit of a bargain for such a pretty pair of earrings (that don't contain the words 'Gorgeous' or 'Diva').

Karina Anne Design: Cupcakes and Twists

Cupcakes are one of my many weaknesses when it comes to shopping, and I'm not just talking about the edible kinds. I have an overflowing box of cupcake decorations, a couple of funky cupcake prints, and even a chopping board covered in the tasty treats. The one thing I need though is a kitsch looking pot to store all my jewellery goodies in. I've seen a few on the high street, but they've all been a little too bold for my tastes. This pot from fair trader jewellery creator Karina Anne is just perfect though. Handmade from French porcelain, you can grab it from £14.99.

Karina does some lovely jewellery pieces too. These sterling silver wrapped earrings are £25, and would fit nicely into the little cupcake pot as a gift. All of the jewellery from her store is made with ethically-sourced materials in her Suffolk studio, so they'll all have a personal and eco-friendly edge.

Cherryloco: Butterfly and pearl earrings

I saved these Butterfly and pearl earrings as a favourite item a couple of weeks ago on Folksy and revisited them again today. They're are so many reasons why I love these earrings. The peach pearls are luxurious and pretty and the sparkly butterflies perched on top add a modern touch to a classic item.

They're only £15 and they're from Cherryloco. There's a matching necklace for £15 and plenty of cute and kitsch items to fit all tastes.

Angel Eden - Bee and Flower earrings

Bzzzzzzzzzz!
How charming are these bee and flower earrings for £26? They're from Angel Eden, and they're sterling silver. I had a good hunt on the whole site and there are so many dazzling silver items, like this garden shed necklace and these festive looking gingerbread earrings.

Anne from Angel Eden contacted me last week and I was happy to feature her products after a few of her items caught my eye. You can visit her shop here.

Our penultimate donation for the Big Bling and Buy giveaway is this retro-cute pair of earrings from the talented Leslieanne from Kooky Boutique. Adorable, no? The Big Bling and Buy Giveaway contributor 3: Funky Junk Jewellery

Day 2 of the Big Bling and Buy giveaway reveal is all about Funky Junk Jewellery! I recently featured Lindsay's Tattoo Love Ring, (which went to a very good home, the finger of an engaged friend of Lindsay's!)

Lindsay creates a wide range of jewellery, with the Roller Derby and Anyone for Tea selections sitting at the forefront. She's kindly offered these turqoise studs on the right for the giveaway. I was lucky enough to test the red ones a little while back and they really are lovely, very cute and delicate! They come mounted on a FJJ business card so you can hand it out when people ask where they're from (trust me, they will!)

Very Vintage™ Designs: Walkin' In A Winter Wonderland Teeny Tiny Snowflake Studs

Last night, I pulled on a pair of extra thick socks, some fleecy pjs, and popped an extra blanket on the bed. Why, you ask? Because summer is finally over and I can indulge my inner child with thoughts of morning frosts and winter snow. Plus I live in a really old farmhouse with rubbish central heating...

Anyway, the reason I'm telling you all of this is because I came across these snowflakes for £3 on folksy and fell a little bit in love. They're by Very Vintage™ Designs, who has a really cute range of stuff including these "Kiss Me" Bobby pins for £3.25.

All of the range is available gift wrapped in a little bag, so it's a treat for yourself or a loved one this Christmas!

Oooooh Kitsch-tique has a shiny new website! Even better, she's offering 15% off to anyone who uses the discount code BRANDNEW! Tempted?

Kitsch-tique has a really cute and kitsch range of accessories for the UK, like the cupcake earrings on the right. They're bank manager friendly at £4, and are also available in 3 other colours. Ji Ji Kiki Vintage 'Time for Tea' earrings

Ji Ji Kiki is one of my haunts for kitsch furnishings and accessories for the home. I didn't really realise that they had a strong range of jewellery too, especially vintage inspired pieces like the 'Time for Tea' earrings on the right. They're only £6, have some delicate flower engraving and make a lovely little gift for any tea lovers you know (so basically 90% of your friends!)

Liked the mis-matched earrings style? Check out the 'He who holds the key' earrings too.
